The Masked Singer: Denise Van Outen shares heartwarming moment daughter realises she's Fox

The actress had kept the secret from her daughter, which was only revealed when she took off the mask in the penultimate episode.

Denise Van Outen has shared the sweet moment her daughter found out she was Fox on The Masked Singer – after not telling her she was starring in the show.

Sitting on the couch together, Denise, daughter Betsy and her friend chant ‘take it off’, during the penultimate episode of the singing competition.

When the identity of Fox is revealed, Betsy shouts in surprise "It's you!", as she realises it's her mum.

During the series there were multiple theories surrounding the disguised singer's identity, and many top celebrities were thought to be Fox.

Hints dropped throughout the programme about Fox included that they may be a ‘silver fox’, the performer was a bit of a ‘party animal’ and may be found on the East End, splitting time between the town and country.

Fans did speculate that it was Van Outen underneath the mask of Fox, but the likes of Anita Dobson, Rita Simons and Carol Volderman were also fan favourites.

Denise wowed the judges with performances of Blondie’s ‘Call Me’, ‘On the Radio’ by Donna Summer and ‘On My Own’ from Les Miserables, during her time on the show.

Last Sunday (February 16) Nicola Roberts was crowned the winner of the popular TV show, who had spent the competition disguised as Queen Bee.
